Some 200lbs of chocolate will be used to create a ‘Chocolate Cave’ at the Hamilton Princess for Valentine’s Day, with diners able to treat themselves to an “enormous range of chocolate desserts, from mousses to cakes and truffles to a chocolate fountain.”
“Marcus’, the flagship restaurant of Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, has announced the creation of a Chocolate Cave to celebrate Valentine’s Day,” a spokesperson said.
“From the evening of Valentine’s Day on Friday, February 14 through to the Champagne Brunch on February 16, guests will be able to enjoy a decadent, chocoholics’ dream: the restaurant’s private dining room will be transformed into a Chocolate Cave.
“Created by the team at Marcus’, led by Head Chef Danai Hongwanishkul and Executive Pastry Chef, John Hauser, the cave will take 200lbs of chocolate to create and will be luxuriously decorated to create a unique space.
“In the cave, diners will be able to treat themselves to an enormous range of chocolate desserts, from mousses to cakes and truffles to a chocolate fountain.
“Diners won’t want to hurry their dinner, with a special menu available which features dishes such as Crispy Tempura Broccoli, Short Rib Ravioli with Chipotle Cream Sauce and Whole Roasted Branzino. The dinner is available as a set menu, including the dessert buffet, for $85 per person, plus gratuities, or $120 including a wine pairing, plus gratuities.
“Alternately, items can be ordered a la carte. Brunch is $72 per person or $112 for unlimited champagne for two hours, plus gratuities. Bookings can be made by calling Dining Reservations on 298-2028 or by emailing HAM.Diningreservations@Fairmont.com.
The cave will be unveiled on Valentine’s Day.
Les Ruddock, Manager of Marcus’ at Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, said: “We are very excited to be bringing such a fun and fresh concept to Bermuda – Marcus’ Chocolate Cave will be the first thing like it on the island.
“It will be a wonderful topper to a romantic dinner out for couples on Valentine’s Day and we hope everyone comes to check it out.”
