Governor Signs ‘Flora Duffy Day’ Holiday Proclamation

The Governor signed the Proclamation declaring Monday, October 18th a public holiday in honour of Flora Duffy, Bermuda’s first Olympic gold medalist.

Governor Rena Lalgie said, “It was such an honour to sign the Proclamation that declares Monday, 18 October 2021 a public holiday. I’m looking forward to welcoming Ms Duffy home on Monday and re-living the joy as we come together to celebrate her truly amazing accomplishments on Flora Duffy Day.”
