Bermuda’s capital city of Hamilton recently hosted its fourth annual City Food Festival from March 16 to 21, bringing together the island’s culinary artists and the public alike in order to taste the best that we have to offer in food and drink.
The event featured local chefs competing in a canapé competition, which was followed by a wine tasting and street festival.
The canapé competition saw island chefs work their way through two preliminary rounds, with each preparing three distinctly different canapés from a box of ingredients provided 48 hours in advance. A winner from each round was selected to advance to the finals, which took place at the closing Street Festival on March 22.
Following the chef’s competition, the Goslings Wine Tasting took place on at Gosling’s Wine Cellar, with tickets including a four piece Riedel stemware set, along with a taste of signature wines.
The event then moved to a central location in the city, where the street festival took place, featuring almost two dozen restaurants, caterers, and food related companies, giving everyone in attendance a close look and delicious taste of the wide variety of dining opportunities that Bermuda has to offer.
