King Charles III completed his official visit to Bermuda, marking the first time a reigning King has visited the island and his first trip to a British Overseas Territory as Sovereign. The visit followed a state visit to the United States and covered a wide range of community, cultural, and environmental engagements across the archipelago.

The tour began in King’s Square, St. George’s, where His Majesty was received with a 21-gun salute and a Guard of Honour by the Royal Bermuda Regiment. During his time in the East End, the King visited St. Peter’s Church, Their Majesties Chappell, and the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum & Zoo [BAMZ] to celebrate its 100th anniversary. He also spent time on Trunk Island to observe biodiversity and conservation efforts.

In Hamilton, the King met with local dignitaries and members of the arts community at City Hall and Arts Centre. The itinerary continued to the Royal Naval Dockyard, where he visited the National Museum of Bermuda and was greeted by the National Gombey Troupe. While at Dockyard, His Majesty also met with youth organizations and Commonwealth athletes preparing for the upcoming games.

The visit concluded with the formal opening of the Great Bay Coast Guard Station in St. David’s and a briefing on a new telescope project at Cooper’s Island designed to mitigate space debris.
