Video: Bermuda Featured On Ocean Treks Show

Wildlife conservationist Jeff Corwin’s globe-trotting travels for his ABC TV series Ocean Treks brought him to Bermuda earlier this year, and footage from his report on the island can now be seen online.

The Bermuda episode of Ocean Treks aired on October 26 and the segment now online focusses on the ecology of the South Shore coastline, which the US TV personality explored on horseback along with his daughter and local businesswoman Natalie Moran.

Bermuda Horse Trail Rides owner Ms Moran was contacted by Ocean Treks producers in May about the upcoming Bermuda shoot.

“I assisted with some of the location planning, offering suggestions of different beach areas around Bermuda,” she told Bernews. “This part of the shoot took place on Warwick Long Bay on July 21, with permission from the Department of Parks to allow horses on the beach just for this purpose.

“I trailered three of our horses from our location in St. George’s to Warwick so Jeff, his daughter Marina, and I could each have a mount. We rode up and down the beach and I was interviewed by Jeff and Marina about the natural geology of Bermuda.”

Biologist Mr. Corwin is also known for hosting Disney Channel’s Going Wild with Jeff Corwin and The Jeff Corwin Experience on Animal Planet.
