U.S. CDC: ‘Low Level Of Covid-19 In Bermuda’

The U.S. CDC has improved the Travel Health Notice for Bermuda to Level 1 which states there is a “Low Level of Covid-19 in Bermuda,” and is, in effect, the best ranking the CDC can give.

A spokesperson said, “Today, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention [CDC] adjusted the Travel Health Notice for Bermuda, de-escalating Bermuda’s status from Level 2, moderate level of COVID-19, to Level 1, low level of COVID-19 in Bermuda.

“The U.S. Department of State will also update its Travel Advisory, de-escalating Bermuda’s rating from Level 2, advising travelers to exercise increased caution, to Level 1, recommending travelers exercise normal precautions.

“The U.S. Consulate continues to engage with the CDC and State Department, providing updates on Bermuda’s status during the pandemic, safety protocols and testing regime for residents and visitors.

“U.S. Consulate General Hamilton recommends all travelers exercise caution when traveling abroad due to the unpredictable nature of COVID-19. As conditions evolve, the CDC and Department of State will regularly update advice to U.S. travelers.
