Photos & Video: World’s Smallest Drawbridge Decorated For Cup Match

The Somerset Bridge — the smallest drawbridge in the world — is ready for Cup Match holiday, having been adorned with Somerset’s red & blue colours as well as St George’s blue & blue, with ribbons and cricket bats used to decorate the west end bridge in a festive manner.

Cup Match is a two day holiday held in Bermuda to celebrate Emancipation, the first day is Emancipation Day and the second day is Mary Prince Day, and the two day holiday involves a cricket match where teams from both ends of the island — Somerset and St George’s — play a cricket match, with most Bermudians enthusiastically supported their team.
