One Communications is partnering with personal trainer Hafid James and Jamaican Grill to “ensure children participating in the Dellwood feeding program have access to balanced meals.”
The primary goal of the initiative is to offer meals three times a week for the foreseeable future. This joint effort signifies the unwavering commitment of all organizations involved to bolster and support the young members of the community.
A spokesperson said, “Recognizing the daily struggles faced by many children who attend school without the assurance of a meal, Hafid took the lead by organizing a fundraising event in the summer. The proceeds from this event were specifically allocated to the feeding program.”
“One Communications proudly sponsored the event, ensuring that all proceeds directly benefited this charitable cause. Jamaican Grill promptly joined as a sponsor, not only subsidizing some of the program’s costs, but also enhancing the provision of additional meals to ensure longevity of the initiative.”
Shira Jatto, Marketing Communications Director at One, emphasized, “Amid our focused efforts at One Communications towards ensuring food security, we are deeply aware of the reality that many children attend school on empty stomachs. Hafid’s initiative to unite us in guaranteeing balanced meals for the children in the Dellwood program is both commendable and essential. We extend our sincere appreciation to Jamaican Grill for their generous support, ensuring the sustainability of this vital program.”
David Thomas Manager of Jamaican Grill said, “We are glad to participate and contribute to the Dellwood Feeding program. I personally attended Dellwood, where some of us could have benefited from such a program. We’re pleased to be able to contribute to the students.”
Hafid James said, “Any challenge in Bermuda can be overcome through collective efforts and small sacrifices. As One Community, our active participation and contribution to solutions are vital.
“I am truly humbled to have contributed to this significant cause and extend my heartfelt thanks to all our sponsors and contributors: One Communications, Burrows Lightbourne Ltd. and Sound Concepts, International Island Boys, Melissa Trott, Sheena Cholmondeley and The City of Hamilton. Thank you! It is my hope to continue growing this program in the future.”
