KFC Bermuda Halloween Treat Voucher To Benefit Coalition

KFC Bermuda announced that the Coalition for the Protection of Children will be the local charity selected to receive all the proceeds from the 2021 treat voucher campaign.

A spokesperson said, “For the 7th consecutive year, KFC Bermuda is holding its Halloween treat vouchers for kids campaign. Past community partners have included the Bermuda Red Cross, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bermuda, Knowledge Quest and The Eliza DoLittle Society.

“This year, KFC is delighted to announce Coalition for the Protection of Children will be the local charity selected to receive all the proceeds from the 2021 treat voucher campaign. During these challenging economic times, due to the ongoing pandemic, Coalition for the Protection of Children is committed to providing basic provisions/food vouchers, wellness support, job readiness training and other services for struggling families.

“They are a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to tracking areas where families struggle and require assistance, formulating goals and strategies which aim to address the root cause of the issues we face as a community. This approach to serving the community is consistent with KFC’s annual treat voucher campaign where 100% of every dollar paid for KFC treat vouchers is donated to the campaign’s designated charity for use in the Bermuda community.

“Customers can purchase a booklet of 5 treat vouchers for only $2 throughout the month of October (while supplies last). Individual vouchers can be distributed on Halloween, to classrooms, to sports teams or to any individual children. From November 1st, 2021 to January 31st, 2022, children aged 12 and younger can redeem a voucher for their choice of one free order of French fries, one free apple turnover or one free chocolate chip cookie.”

Kelly Hunt, Executive Director at Coalition for the Protection of Children said, “We are delighted that KFC has decided to partner with us in this year’s Halloween fundraising initiative. We sincerely appreciate both the acknowledgement and backing of KFC during this time. We also are extremely grateful for the community support and confidence in us to carry out this important work. On behalf of the families we serve, we would like to thank each of you for helping us ensure that children can grow up in a safe and healthy environment with proper access to nutrition.”

Ms. Ginene Haslam, General Manager of KFC, says: “As we kick off our 7th consecutive Halloween campaign, we are pleased to partner with Coalition for the Protection of Children. Through our broad and diverse customer base, I am sure that we can help build public awareness of this important local charity, and its initiatives. Every dollar we raise will go directly to them”.

“There are many scary things on Halloween, but supporting a good cause isn’t one of them. These vouchers are great alternative to candy, and since 100% of each dollar raised will go to Coalition for the Protection of Children, let’s all help to meet the needs of children and their families. Come get your vouchers today, since there is only a limited quantity available.“
