One Communications Launches One SmartHome

One Communications has partnered with Alarm.com to launch One SmartHome, a product offering “industry leading technology for smarter home security, video monitoring, and energy management.”

A spokesperson said, “One Communications has partnered with Alarm.com, the leader in Smart Home Security and Automation, to give customers peace of mind, cost savings, and convenience with the launch of One SmartHome.

“One SmartHome offers industry leading technology for smarter home security, video monitoring, and energy management. The innovative solution allows subscribers to remotely manage cameras, thermostats, lights, locks, and small appliances from any mobile device.

“The product is fully managed through one easy-to-use smartphone app providing quick access to alerts, live videos, and controls for automated devices, to keep homes safer, smarter, and more efficient.”

Brian Lonergan, Chief Commercial Officer, said, “We are excited to announce the launch of One SmartHome, to help protect the things that matter most and streamline control of connected devices.

“Customers will now have peace of mind knowing they can watch their kids come home safely from school, and remotely lock their doors or turn off their air conditioning units in case they forget.”

The spokesperson said, “Customers can sign up to a monthly plan starting from $15 with zero upfront hardware costs, and the option of free installation by a trusted expert. Plans range from a video only service to a full-suite automation and security package.

“Customers can also choose between self-monitoring or professional monitoring, where a certified Alarm.com security professional will notify you and alert Bermuda emergency services as required.”

Frank Amaral, Chief Executive Officer, said, “The launch of One SmartHome is part of our commitment to continue to provide Bermuda with leading and innovative technology. Our goal with this new product launch was to provide the solution to our customers without the large upfront equipment and installation fees usually associated with Security and Automation products.

“Customers can also benefit from potential savings on home insurance as well as cost savings on their electricity bills by controlling and automating air conditioning units, lights and small appliances.”

The spokesperson said, “The product is also available to small businesses, allowing operators to keep an eye on their business 24/7, automate energy use, and gain insight into their operations by allowing them to identify peak periods of traffic, or receive alerts if their business wasn’t opened or closed on time.
