BF&M Donates $25,000 To Covid-19 Vaccination Clinic

BF&M has pledged $25,000 in response to the Bermuda Hospitals Charitable Foundation [BHCF] appeal to support the Covid-19 vaccination clinic at KEMH.

While the vaccine itself is provided by the British government, there are many costs associated with the infrastructure, staffing, and administration of the vaccination programme.

John Wight, Group Chairman and CEO of BF&M Limited, said: “We are responding to the Bermuda Hospitals Charitable Foundation’s appeal because we recognize that the ongoing impact of the pandemic is stretching community resources as never before, as well as making unprecedented demands on our health workers.

“We want to take this opportunity to thank the many health workers, nurses, administrators, contact tracers, doctors, testing and lab staff who are on the front-line tackling Covid-19, by showing our support through this donation.”

Jane Spurling, Director of the BHCF, added: “We want to thank BF&M for responding to the call for aid from the business community, supplementing the generous donations already received from individuals, to help us reach our target.”
