Milestone Achieved As ‘BermudAir’ Arrives In Bermuda

An aircraft belonging to BermudAir touched down on the island, marking what the company called a “key milestone towards” their upcoming launch.

The arrival of the aircraft, an E175 model, at L.F. Wade International Airport marked the first of two planes that will be based in Bermuda.

A spokesperson for BermudAir stated that the “aircraft is here for preparatory flights that Bermuda authorities will review as part of the ongoing local regulatory process.

“It will be here for a few days, flying in and out of the island, then return to Canada for completion of remaining operational launch preparations. This is another key milestone towards BermudAir’s launch.”

BermudAir has previously unveiled its intention to introduce a distinctive service, focusing on short-haul, all-business class flights connecting Bermuda with destinations along the US East Coast.

Bermuda, which at 21sq miles has only one airport, does not currently have its own airline, however is serviced by major carriers including American Airlines, Delta, JetBlue, Air Canada, Westjet and British Airways, and also has frequent private planes arriving.
