CG Insurance Offers CariGenetics Wellness Genetic Testing

CG Insurance has partnered with CariGenetics to “introduce a wellness genetic testing service now available to members through the Zest Wellness Biometric Screening programme.”

A spokesperson said, “The new initiative provides individuals with personalised, science based insights to support healthier lifestyle choices through nutrition and fitness.

“The offering includes a confidential genetic test, administered by CariGenetics, that focuses exclusively on lifestyle-related markers such as nutrient metabolism, exercise recovery, muscle composition, and optimal training approaches.

“Each participant receives a detailed report with tailored recommendations based on their unique genetic profile. To support ongoing wellness, the programme also provides access to online resources and live workshops led by Certified Health & Wellness Coach Alex Dill, who guides participants in understanding and applying their results.”

“Genetic testing represents the next frontier in preventative care,” said Naz Farrow, Chief Executive Officer of Coralisle Group Ltd. “Through this partnership with CariGenetics, we are expanding our ability to support our members with tools that are tailored, empowering, and rooted in science. This initiative reflects CG’s long-term commitment to delivering smarter, more personalised health solutions.”

Among the early participants is CG member Anthonette Simons, who described the experience as eye opening. Simons shares, “I have learned valuable insights into my health and wellbeing. Knowing what I am and am not predisposed to motivates me to make certain changes. I’m a lot better physically than I thought, and now that I have the genetic profile, I can make environmental changes that will benefit my overall health.”

The spokesperson said, “CariGenetics, a Bermuda-based research and testing company, is committed to making precision wellness more accessible across the Caribbean through education and evidence-based testing. The organisation also leads the Caribbean Genome Programme, a regional initiative aiming to collect genetic data from 100,000 Caribbean people to ensure broader representation in global medical research.

“All data collected through the wellness genetic testing programme is securely stored by CariGenetics and remains strictly confidential. The programme is focused solely on nutrition and fitness and does not screen for disease or medical conditions.
