Steven Spielberg’s Yacht Visits Bermuda

Bermuda’s beautiful shoreline beckons to sailors of all kinds, but there are certain vessels that make a particular impression when they visit, such as the 282-foot Seven Seas, a $200 million luxury yacht owned by Academy Award-winning director Steven Spielberg, which paid the island a visit in May 2015.

The Seven Seas, which offers accommodations for up to 12 guests in seven suites and is capable of carrying up to 23 crew on-board, docked in picturesque St. George’s, lending its modern look to an otherwise historic background.

Built in 2010, Mr. Spielberg’s private yacht boasts a wide range of features, including an infinity pool whose 15-foot glass wall doubles as a movie screen, a Jacuzzi, a helipad, full gym, a spa, massage room, and an indoor professional screening room.

One of the world’s most famous filmmakers, Mr. Spielberg has a long list of popuar films to his credit, including The Color Purple, Jurassic Park, Minority Report, Saving Private Ryan, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Schindler’s List, Catch Me If You Can, E.T. and Jaws.

Also one of the wealthiest filmmakers in the world with an estimated net worth of $3.6 billion, he has been nominated for more than a dozen Academy Awards, winning three in the process.
