2014 Bermuda Love Month Activities

Bermuda will be the epicenter of all things romance-related as the island dedicates the month of February as its annual Love Month. This month-long series of relationship-strengthening events and romantic activities is aimed at helping couples reconnect.

Couples’ Golf Tournament, Port Royal Golf Course. Mondays & Thursdays, 8:30 am. – 12:00 pm.

Bermuda offers more golf per square mile than anywhere else in the world so it is only fitting that couples can bond on the greens and start the week on the famed Port Royal Golf Course, the home of the 2014 PGA Grand Slam of Golf, with the Couples Golf Tournament. Participating duos will receive a 50% discount on greens fees, inclusive of a cart, and the winners of the tournament will receive prizes compliments of the Department of Tourism.

Champagne & Strawberries Afternoon Affair, Masterworks Museum. Tues 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Couples can enjoy complimentary access and a guided tour of Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art, home to internationally acclaimed works of art from Winslow Homer, Georgia O’Keeffe, Marsden Hartley, Charles Demuth and Henry Moore, followed by a performance from one of Bermuda’s top saxophone players. Champagne, chocolates and an assortment of fruit will be served in the museum’s Rose Garden.

Love Train City Tour, Front St, Hamilton City [Meet at the Flagpole] – Wed. 11:00am – 12:00 pm.

Couples can board the love train for a guided tour of Bermuda’s romantic spots in the City of Hamilton. While on board, guests will discover unique facts about some of the city’s most popular attractions and have the opportunity to photograph amazing historical sites.

Lovers Matinee, Specialty Cinema on Church Street, City of Hamilton.Wed, 12:30pm – 2:30pm

Sit back, relax and enjoy an afternoon matinee featuring a top romantic film at the Specialty Cinema in Hamilton. Couples will receive a complimentary movie snack to complete their romantic movie-going experience.

Dockyard Glassworks Demonstration – Maritime Lane, Dockyard. Thurs 2:00pm – 4:00pm

Couples can enjoy watching talented artists create magnificent masterpieces using the process of glassblowing and flame working at the Royal Naval Dockyard. At the end of the demonstration, participants receive a specially made hand blown glass heart, compliments of the Department of Tourism.

Shopping in the City Tour, Front St, City of Hamilton [Meet at the Flagpole]. Fri. 11:00am – 12:00pm

Couples will learn historical facts about Bermuda from their personal shopping tour guide, Town Crier Ed Christopher, while receiving great discounts at some of The City of Hamilton’s most popular shops.

Love Cruise – Albuoy’s Point on Front Street, City of Hamilton – Fri, 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Passengers who set sail on the Love Cruise will enjoy musical entertainment and complimentary refreshments as they tour Hamilton Harbour’s quaint water locations and romantic hideaways.

Love Tales Walking Tour – Town Hall, Town of St. George – Sat 10:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.

Couples are invited to join one of Bermuda’s renowned tour guides for an intimate walk through the historic Town of St. George, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Learn about Bermuda’s greatest love stories while discovering locally made products and stay for the 12:00 p.m. historical reenactment in King’s Square.

Robert & Jamie in Heritage Court, Fairmont Hamilton Princess. Sat 9:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.

Located just a short walk from the City of Hamilton, lovebirds can enjoy Robert & Jamie, one of Bermuda’s best musical duos, as they perform an array of popular hit songs at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess’ Heritage Court.
