‘Anthem Of The Seas’ Set To Visit Bermuda

Royal Caribbean International’s newest cruise ship, the Anthem of the Seas – which boasts a wide range of innovative features, including the North Star aerial observatory, a glass capsule that takes guests more than 300 feet above the ocean for incomparable panoramic views – is set to visit Bermuda in 2016.

Royal Caribbean officially took delivery of Anthem of the Seas, its 23rd ship, in April 2015; New York Harbour will be the vessel’s permanent home, where it will sail regularly from Cape Liberty Cruise Port on adventures to locations including Bermuda.

Five-night Bermuda cruises will be offered in 2016, starting from $689, with the ship to dock in Royal Naval Dockyard. Departures will take place from Cape Liberty, New Jersey on May 28, June 11, June 25, July 9, and July 23, 2016.

Guests will enjoy a wide range of Royal Caribbean’s on-board innovations, such as the North Star aerial observatory, a glass capsule that takes guests more than 300 feet above the ocean, revealing 360-degree views rarely seen.

The rush of skydiving can be experienced right on the deck of the ship with its RipCord by iFLY skydiving simulator, while fun and games can be had at SeaPlex, an activities space offering bumper cars, a roller rink, circus school, and more.

The list of amenities goes on to include a full-size basketball court, music from a floating DJ booth, and a Bionic Bar, where mixology meets technology; with laser precision, robotic arms powered by Makr Shakr work in perfect synchronization, assembling beverages.

Guests will be dazzled with the ship’s transformative venues, such as the Two70 lounge, a great room by day and an immersive, multimedia entertainment spectacle at night.

Guests also will delight at the expansive array of delicious fare in 18 distinctive on-board restaurants and enjoy entertainment in Music Hall, the Royal Theater, and the Royal Esplanade.

The vessel’s Vitality Spa offers professional spa products from acclaimed brands such as Elemis, Bliss, La Therapie and Ionithermie bring the most advanced services to the sea, including massages, wraps, and facials and acupuncture, or choose medi-spa treatments, hair, nail treatments, and more.

On-board fitness opportunities include professionaly instructed Flywheel, TRX, and Beach Bootcamp classes, with Pure-Form Pilates and Pathway to Yoga also available.

In all, Anthem of the Seas spans 16 guest decks, encompasses 167,800 gross registered tons, carries 4,180 guests at double occupancy, and features 2,090 staterooms, along with two-story Loft Suites.
